Who is responsible

SouthBase, contactable at hello@southbase.dev. SouthBase is currently a solo project, so that address reaches the person who wrote both this page and the code it describes.

What is collected, and why

1. The design-partner application

If you submit the form on /talk, we store what you typed: your name and email address, and — only if you chose to answer — your company, role, team size, number of agents in production, what tooling you use today, and your message.

We also store the path of the page you applied from (for example /vs/langsmith, never the full URL or any query string) and the two-letter country your request came from, which Cloudflare supplies. We deliberately do not store your IP address, and we set no tracking identifier of any kind.

Why: to reply to you and to judge whether we can actually help you yet. The lawful basis is legitimate interest — you asked us to get in touch about a product, and answering you is the obvious consequence. We do not use it for anything else, and you are not added to a marketing list.

2. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records page views, referrers and performance timings in aggregate. It does not set a cookie, does not fingerprint your browser and does not build a profile of you. That is precisely why this site has no cookie banner: there is no cookie to ask you about.

3. Server logs

Cloudflare keeps short-lived operational logs of requests to the site as part of serving and protecting it. We do not export them, analyse them, or join them to anything else.

4. Booking a call

The scheduling panel on /talk is provided by Cal.com and only loads if you press the button that mounts it — if you never do, nothing of theirs runs in your browser. If you book, you give your details to Cal.com directly and their privacy policy governs that.

Who else sees it

• Cloudflare — hosts the site, stores the applications database, sends the notification email, and provides the anti-spam check (Turnstile) and the analytics.
• Cal.com — only if you choose to book a call.

That is the entire list. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to an advertising network, a data broker, or a CRM.

How long it is kept

Applications are kept for 24 months from the day you send them, then deleted. If we have an ongoing conversation with you, the clock restarts on the last exchange. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, without asking why.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email hello@southbase.dev. There is no form and no identity-verification hoop; at this scale a reply from the address you applied with is enough.

If you are in the UK or the EU and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first.

Changes

This page is versioned in the same repository as the site, so changes to it arrive with the changes to the code they describe. The date at the top is the last time it changed.
